Where our media and assets come from, documented honestly. Short, because we make almost everything ourselves.

We believe in giving credit where it is due — and in being honest when there is not much to credit. This page documents the provenance of the images, graphics, and other assets used across Spielio. The short version: nearly everything you see is our own work, and the few things that are not are open-licensed typefaces, listed clearly below.

Screenshots and thumbnails

Every game screenshot, preview image, and thumbnail on this site is our own original work — © Spielio, all rights reserved. These are captured directly from our own games (Royal Robber Rummy, N-Back, and 2 Thumbs Typer), which we designed and built ourselves. Nothing is licensed, purchased, or borrowed from a third party.

The Spielio crest, wordmark, and any decorative marks are likewise our own original designs — © Spielio, all rights reserved. They were created in-house for this brand and are not derived from stock artwork.

Illustrations, diagrams and charts

Every illustration in our articles — the playing cards, the turn diagrams, the n-back sequences and the bar charts — is Spielio’s own artwork. They are not image files: they are drawn directly in the browser from HTML and CSS, using the same design tokens as the games themselves (suit colours, the champagne accent, the typefaces).

That has two happy consequences: they stay razor-sharp on any screen, and no third-party image rights attach to them. © Spielio, all rights reserved.

The figures shown in any chart come solely from the studies listed under “Sources” on that page — we do not invent numbers.

Typefaces

The site’s typography relies on two open-source typefaces, both distributed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 — a permissive licence that allows use, embedding, and redistribution:

  • Jost — used for body text and interface labels. Licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • Cormorant Garamond — used for display headings and the brand’s serif voice. Licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Both fonts are served through Fontsource, which packages open-source fonts for self-hosting so that no font data is requested from a third-party server at runtime. The fonts are the work of their respective type designers and are used here in accordance with their licence.

Everything else

Icons, illustrations, textures, and UI graphics that are not covered above are, again, our own original work. Sound effects and music used inside the games are produced or licensed for our use; where a specific game credits its own audio sources, that credit lives with the game.

If you believe any asset on this site has been attributed incorrectly, please get in touch and we will correct it promptly.
